Often overlooked, restricted in tight shoes, slammed into unforgiving pavements… perhaps it’s time to look again at our feet? If we work intelligently with them, to open and expand, can we experience a different relationship with the rest of our bodies?

In this practical workshop, discover the magical effect of unlocking the tiny joints within the feet. Watch as you open these restricted areas to reveal spaces that lift up and extend your whole body, creating a sense of buoyancy and elastic responsiveness as you walk. Discover improved stability and support, extend and deepen your roots to feel the support of the ground, and learn how to receive the lightness and freedom that rises up from the earth.

Private Yoga Classes with Catherine Annis

Catherine offer private yoga lessons for any level of yoga.  Catherine can tailor each yoga session to your exact requirements. Traditionally, yoga was shared between one teacher and one student.

Private yoga classes take into consideration your personal heath & fitness level, injuries and personal intentions. Catherine can help you make physical adjustments and assist you with stretching more than they would ever be able to in a group class.

Catherine can teach you how subtle adjustments in your alignment can help you create a strong foundation, ultimately leading you to a better understanding of yoga. You will, as a result, develop a stronger and definitely safer yoga practice. Every individual is unique and we all have different levels of awareness.

Reasons to take private yoga lessons:

New to yoga
New Students often feel overwhelmed when they go to a group class and can benefit immensely from receiving an instructor's complete attention. Receiving hands on adjustments ensure that you develop a safe yoga practice. You will develop a true understanding of the yoga poses and breathing techniques rather than getting lost when the speed of a group class is too much for you.

Decrease Your Risk of Injury
In a private Yoga class, Catherine will safely guides you through your yoga session. We have all no doubt seen people become competitive or overly ambitious in classes and attempt to do the full version of a pose before they actually ready to. This greatly increases your risk of injury. In a private yoga class, Catherine will always be fully aware of what is appropriate for you and makes adjustments accordingly.

Yoga with Catherine Annis

The yoga Catherine teaches has been inspired by the pioneering approach of Vanda Scaravelli. It's a gentle yet demanding form of Hatha yoga, which concentrates on developing core strength through releasing tension and creating length in the spine. It uses the breath and gravity to allow the spine to unfold like a wave, allowing the uninhibited opening and energising of the whole body.
