Yoga workshop 1: “An Appreciation of the Feet”

Working intelligently, we can develop a new, more vibrant relationship with the feet that enlivens our posture and creates a strong foundation with the ground beneath us.

Date: Friday 14th October, 2016
Time: 6.00 – 8.00pm

Yoga Workshop 2: “Awakening the Spine”

Experiencing subtle movement, we will gently begin to create space in the upper body.  Gradually, we will explore more energising and spontaneous movements as we receive the earth’s rebound energy.

Date: Saturday 15th October, 2016
Time: 10.30am – 1.00pm

Yoga Workshop 3: “Breath & the Intelligent Body”

We will focus on the end of the exhalation to observe how space opens up, during which our thoughts soften and movement becomes lighter and more buoyant.

Date: Saturday  15th October, 2016
Time: 2.30am – 5.00pm

Yoga Workshop 4: “The Art of Touch”

Touch is the first form of communication between mother and child, and can be a valuable tool in drawing attention to sleepy areas of the body.  Discover how the quality of our touch can help us find more harmonious approaches to movement.

Date: Sunday 16th October, 2016
Time: 10.30 – 1.00pm

Yoga Workshop 5: “Finding Balance & Slowing Down”

We will cultivate freedom and creativity in our practice as we explore our hips and move toward our connection with the ground and take a closer look at balance postures.  Learn to ‘let go’ as we close the day with Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

Date: Sunday  16th October, 2016
Time: 2.30 – 5.00pm

Catherine’s daily yoga practice and teaching focuses on deepening physical awareness and alignment to reveal and release the natural freedom of the body, particularly the spine. She holds a Masters degree in ballet studies and is a qualified Thai massage practitioner, and it is this interest in the body which informs and inspires her teaching.

Darlene Bink

Darlene Bink

Scaravelli, Inspired, Yoga, Workshop, America, Dallas, Darlene Bink, 2016Since 1999, Darlene has experienced many teachings styles that have allowed her rhythmic Yoga style to bloom!  Her teaching style and personal practice are based on listening and being guided from within.  She teaches a playful and fluid approach to Yoga, emphasizing ease, gravity, lightness, and freedom.  Exploration, creativity, and mindfulness are also a part of her approach.  She believes that a Yoga practice can open your heart allowing your authentic nature to surface, thus allowing you to “Live Your Yoga.”

Two of Darlene’s main influences are Vanda Scaravelli and Erich Schiffmann.  When Darlene lived in the Dallas area she fell in love with the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.  Coming from an Iyengar and Ashtanga background, Darlene found the freedom of this approach refreshing.

Darlene is passionate about learning and the study of Yoga. She enjoys being a student as much as she enjoys being a Teacher.  Darlene shares her creative approach to Yoga in instructional videos, in classes, and in workshops in Columbus, GA, nationally, and internationally.
