Autumn: change and reflection

Autumn is the season of change and renewal, a time to slough off the old and create space for the new.  Change can be challenging, but it can also be inspiring and uplifting, bringing fresh energy and urging us to explore new avenues.  This has been especially true this year – there’s so much happening, I can’t wait to share!

New Class – Monday Nights

Scaravelli, Yoga, Haybarn, Chelsea, London, Catherine AnnisFor the first time in over ten years, I’ve taken on a new class.  It’s in a beautiful venue in South Kensington, with quite a different vibe.  Quiet and spacious, there’s a maximum of just 8 students.
As it’s so new, few people have discovered it, which means that you could end up with a private lesson for just £30!

If you’d like to treat yourself to a bargain private, or semi-private class, please do visit me here.

Classes are on Monday evenings, 6.30-7.45 pm.

The Haybarn,
104 Draycott Ave, Chelsea,
London SW3 3AE

Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training

Scaravelli, Yoga, Teacher, Training, Course, London, 2019, Catherine AnnisIf you (or anyone you know) is ready to take the next step on their yoga journey and is looking for a thoroughly practical, thought-provoking and contemporary yoga teacher training course, the next Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training course begins in October 2019.  Visit the website for more details and to apply.

We launched the first IYTT course this September, and I’m so grateful for everyone’s support throughout last year as we worked to create this exciting new yoga teacher training course.  I’m delighted that both Peter Blackaby and Gary Carter will be sharing their depth of experience and knowledge, and that Neville Cregan will be sharing his take on the philosophy.   Many of you know that I find philosophy challenging, but Nev makes it fun and relevant, keeping it light-hearted whilst remaining respectful to our yoga traditions.

No training happens without a group of trainees, and we are blessed with this extraordinary bunch.  They have all, without exception, dived right in, and are fully engaged with reading, learning, investigating and questioning.  Here’s a picture of our happy group.

Retreat to Spain

Centro Santillan, Yoga, Retreat, Spain, 2019, October, Catherine Annis, Scaravelli, Holiday, Europe

For the first time in many years I’ll be leading two retreats in Europe this summer.  The first, in Italy, is already fully booked, but there’s still some space at the gorgeous Santillan, in Spain.  With probably the most beautiful yoga studio I’ve ever had the joy of working in, it’s close to the sea, set in lush tropical gardens, with a salt water pool, and delicious food, and just a skip from Malaga airport.  I can’t wait to see you there for a week of relaxation with plenty of time to chill out, swim, and enjoy enjoying the sunshine!

Date: 21-28 September 2019
Price: from €995.

Practice with me – online yoga classes  …

If you’re travelling, or if you can’t get to a regular class, then you could always practice with me at home!  I’ve been filming with Movement for Modern Life, so if you’d like to practice in your pyjamas, from the comfort of your own living room, sign up here, and invite me back to yours.  As Karen, who’s been attending classes for years, but lives in the far north of Scotland, said “I still can’t get over hearing your voice in my living room”.  If you need classes to fit around your schedule, here’s the answer.

Enjoy the falling leaves, and I look forward to practicing with you again soon.
